Melrose LL Thanks 2017 SponsorsUpdated Tuesday December 5, 2017 by Cory Thomas.
The Melrose Little League's Board of Directors, volunteers, parents and, most importantly, our players, would like to extend our sincere appreciation for the continued support of our League sponsors. The inaugural season of Melrose Little League was one of tremendous success both on and off the field with unparalleled participation at all age levels, community-wide events and positive experiences had by all. The generous support of all sponsors had a direct and immediate impact on our ability to provide both instruction and guidance, through the game of baseball, for nearly 500 children this past season! By investing in our League and mission, our sponsors have helped us to provide an affordable, constructive, supportive and safe environment for kids to enjoy the game of baseball, form life-long friendships and become positive influences among their peers and within our Melrose community.
By virtue of the merger of Melrose National & Churchill American Little Leagues in 2017, the City of Melrose, for the first time in over fifty years, had a unified Little League organization that helped bring together children from every corner of our city to join one another for a memorable season of Little League baseball. From our postseason success, with our 12 Year Old Williamsport Tournament All Star Team's historic run to the Massachusetts State Finals and our 10 Year Old All Star Team capturing the District 12 Championship, to our success in the Jimmy Fund Tournament, where our 11 Year Old, 10 Year Old (Tournament Champions) and the 9 Year Old Gray Teams all enjoyed success on the field, and our 9 Year Old Red Team becoming the second highest fundraising team in Massachusetts, leading Melrose Little League to raise and contribute on excess of $25,000.00 to the Jimmy Fund, to our league championship teams in Majors - Cubs, Minors - Brewers, and Federal - Mariners, 2017 will be a year not soon forgotten!
Melrose Little League is hard at work preparing for our 2018 baseball season. But before we turn the page to next year, we wanted to once again thank our dedicated sponsors of 2017, who's generosity and support helped to make our inaugural season an unequivocal success:
